The Plant Tracker app visualizes the user's plant profile and interests in an easy to understand graphic, telling them what their numbers mean and giving them feedback on optimizing their plant growth and knowledge .
Comprehensive plant growth data is also automatically tracked so summaries can be sent to their phone, regardless of where they are through the app.
Goal
The plant tracker encourages community garden ownership by engaging users to interact, adopt and nurture plants. It also visualizes user's plant profile and its health in an easy to understand graphics, helps them manage its growth and take care of their belonging.
Users are always connected with their plant, even remotely, through an interactive app, which feeds and stores all the important activities of the plant.

Why Plant Tracker?
On careful evaluation and follow up of the iterations of using experience builder with some users, an insight of emotional engagement, and sense of belonging became evident from analysis. You can check out the Phase 1 below:
One of the ideas that came out of brainstorming activity was for a community garden service which would encourage and facilitate enthusiasts to co-build and co-care the park, and have that sense of belonging and attachment with the place where you envision spending with your quality self.
CO-CREATE + CO-NURTURE
A Service to facilitate a collaborative and caring culture with the parks and garden people visit. Collaborating with the Park Management, and designing a service factoring the values and characteristics of the Park.
STAKEHOLDERS
Stakeholders involved are Service provider, Park Authority, Visitors, Nurseries, Seed Sellers, Gardening Technology, Gardening events organizers and the Garden entities itself.

Figuring out specifics of the digital experience

UX/UI Exploration
We discovered a digital application is most helpful as users can interact with the device they always carry around. We built out the information architecture and evolved our prototype from lo-fidelity paper and pen based models which were then translated into digital wireframes and hi-fidelity mockups for testing.

Key Features
A perfect balance of physical, digital and the Human emotions creates that emotional experiential engagement which involves all the human senses. To create the balance we researched certain components who create the value we are envisioning.
Infagram

A simple, cheap infrared camera which can measure plant health. Infragram is a simple, affordable near-infrared camera produced by the Public Laboratory community.
Thus integrating Infagram functionalities with the App, which will help users plant, track and manage the healthy livelihood of their belonging in the park.
Shown here are the Infagram filter data visualization as per the plant's health

Augmented Reality Experience

The medium of the Augmented Reality was specifically strategized to translate the Park experience in between two real time layers of physical entities (Plants) and Digital entities (Information, Technology). The AR UI was envisioned using low fidelity pen and paper mockups which were then translated into high-fidelity digital prototypes.
